A former commercial litigation solicitor at Maddens Lawyers and Senior Associate at Galbally Rolfe, Alastair established Grigor Lawyers in 2006.
Alastair has worked on a number of high profile cases in the Magistrates’, County and Supreme Courts as well as appearing in the Court of Criminal Appeal. In addition, Alastair appears at the Federal Court of Australia in relation to family law and bankruptcy matters. Alastair has conducted a number of trials and represented clients in Victoria and interstate and has appeared in Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, A.C.T. and South Australia. He enjoys a reputation as a hard working lawyer who is known for his commitment and dedication. He is admitted to practice as a legal practitioner in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and New Zealand, as well as the High Court of Australia. He maintains memberships with the Law Institute of Victoria, Liberty Victoria and is a founding member of the Victorian Defence Lawyers Association.

Jacob joined Grigor Lawyers having completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Institute.
Prior to that Jacob obtained a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Masters of Business from Deakin University in addition to a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. Jacob has practiced in Criminal Law which often involves the defence of complex prosecutions including homicide, drugs, assault and fraud mattes, asset confiscation as well as bail applications and summary offences, as well as handling family law matters. Jacob regularly appears in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court and Supreme Court of Victoria and maintains membership with the Law Institute of Victoria.

Daniel joined Grigor Lawyers and holds a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
Daniel has extensive experience in Criminal and Family Law and has acted on behalf of clients charged with matters including violence and sexual offences. Daniel has also assisted in a number of high profile trials in both criminal and family law Courts and has instructed counsel in bail applications, contested committal proceeding and family law matters. Since being admitted to practice, Daniel has regularly appeared in the Magistrates, Children’s, County and Supreme Courts as well as the Federal and Family Courts of Australia. Daniel maintains membership with the Law Institute of Victoria.

Josh joined Grigor Lawyers having completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Institute. Prior to that Josh obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University
Josh has practiced in Criminal Law which involves the defence of prosecutions in a range of summary and indictable criminal matters. as well as handling child protection and law matters. Josh regularly appears in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court and Supreme Court of Victoria and maintains membership with the Law Institute of Victoria.
Alexis Jazz Kaczmarek
LLB, Grad Dip LP
Alexis obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University in 2014 and went on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the ANU College of Law in 2015 before being admitted to the Victorian Supreme Court in June 2016. She is currently studying her Masters of Legal Practice and pursuing further education in the international humanitarian law.
She has experience in a range of summary and indictable criminal matters, family law and child protection, invention and personal safety orders and victims of crime compensation claims. She has appeared in metropolitan and regional courts across Victoria, the Federal Court and in the Local and District Court in New South Wales.
Jessica completed a 5-month internship with Grigor Lawyers whilst studying an Associate Degree in Legal Practice (Paralegal) and Bachelor of Criminal Justice from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. She joined the team full-time in October 2016 as our resident paralegal and office manager.
Jessica manages the daily functions of the firm and assists in case file management. She has an in depth knowledge of court processes and regularly prepares briefs for counsel whilst ensuring that all cases are running accordingly. Jessica holds a strong interest in the areas of criminal and family law and hopes to further pursue a career in both fields of law.
